Horticulture - CHEMEKETA COMMUNITY COLLEGE

Agribusiness is the science and specialty of creating, keeping up and using plants as a piece of regulated scenes. At Chemeketa Community College, we offer a two-year Associate of Applied Science degree in development.

The Horticulture program keeps up a nursery, nursery and nursery complex on the east side of Chemeketa's Salem grounds. The nursery fuses 3,000 square feet of warmed space and 700 square feet of unheated space where we grow yearly and never-ending blooms, houseplants, sprouting case, ground spreads and that is only the starting. Besides, we use the nursery space for development labs, understudy tests and plant bargains reliably.

The nursery extent is an overwhelmed yard where we create trees, brambles and persisting plants in holders. The beautiful greenery enclosures that envelop the nursery and nursery consolidates a wide variety of enlivening scene plants and furthermore a sweeping fragment dedicated to vegetables and some minimal regular items. This is the spot Chemeketa understudies get hands-on inclusion in creating both embellishing and consumable plants which sets them up for a wide collection of business opportunities in the field.
